Tube Inspection Services
Introduction

Velosi is experienced in Remote Field Eddy Current (RFT), Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS), Eddy Current (ET) and Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL). Our TC5700 system that we use is of the latest technology, we believe there is no better system available. The advantage of this system is that the 4 most commonly used techniques can be combined into one main frame. This means we can use up to 4 techniques with only unit and one team. Our personnel are well trained and very experienced in using and analysing all 4 techniques

Eddy Current is commonly used to inspect nonferromagnetic materials, Remote Field Eddy Current or Magnetic Flux Leakage for that of carbon steel and ferritic materials, where as Internal Rotary Inspection System may be used for accurate thickness measurements of either type of materials. With our equipment 100% coverage of the full tube length is recorded on computer disk. This means we can analyse in office conditions, more conducive to achieve accurate results. Most systems available on the market are not PC based and analyse of strip charts. With our software IRIS results are displayed in B, C and D scan as well as a cylindrical (3D) display in colour. C scans allow quick and easy identification of defective areas, so that small defects can easily be spotted. B, D and cylindrical scans provide an accurate picture in 3 dimensions of the shape and depth of the defect. RFEC reporting includes 2 main types of data display - voltage plane and vector plane. In case of EC, data will be captured on a minimum of 4 frequencies; Basic, Differential, Auxiliary 1 (for mixing out of support signals) Auxiliary 2 (for distinguishing between genuine defect signals and spurious signals) and absolute. MFL reporting comes in strip chart or C-scan display.

Velosi endeavours to provide its clients a quality service each time a request is made. In order to maintain a professional and reliable level of service and to attempt to improve its service a quality system according to ISO-9002 is applied throughout the company.
