PED Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC
Conformity Assessment Services
Velosi has been accredited by The United Kingdom Accreditation Service UKAS to provide inspection services as a Type A inspection body against the PED. Additionally in association with TRL has developed a system whereby the conformity processes for the PED and ATEX can be combined so that clients can make a significant saving on assessment time and ensure compliance to both directives.
Pressure System Safety Regulations PSSR
The Pressure System Safety Regulations 2000 is a UK regulation which revoked and replaced the Pressure Systems and Transportable Gas Containers Regulations 1989 and cover various aspects of a systems safety. The Regulations apply to pressure equipment, which is in service. Velosi is accredited as a Competent Person against the regulations.
Design Review and Approval
Velosi is able to provide Design review and approval for pressure equipment to various codes such as PD 5500 / EN 13445 / ASME etc.
Welding Certification & Material Services
Velosi is Accredited for the Certification of Weld procedures & Welders against the requirements of European Standards, and can carry out assessment to ASME IX, and other National or International Standards. The approval of a Welder Is usually valid for a period of 2 years as long as the Welder is regularly using the process defines in the procedure Velosi can offer a service from surveillance at the mill to taking samples of material and subjecting the material to a rigorous regime of laboratory testing.
Lifting Equipment Testing and Certification
Velosi Certification Bureau Limited is one of only a few companies that are fully accredited by UKAS for Inspection and Certification of lifting equipment that is independent of an insurance company.
Russian, Kazakh and C.I.S. Certification Services
Anyone considering exporting to Russia, Kazakhstan, or any of the other CIS countries should be aware of current licensing, permitting, and certification requirements. Velosi is available to provide certification services for Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan (ROK).
Statutory Inspection & Certification Services
Velosi is accredited by the Indian Boiler board for the certification of equipment to be used in India in the boiler industry; the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore for the certification of pressure equipment being imported to Singapore; under co-operation agreement with International Business & Mercantile Reassurance, Inc. USA, provide services in the areas of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. |
